WHAT
IS A DATALOGGER ?
A data logger
is an electronic instrument that records measurements in an electronic
memory from
* sensors (wind speed, temperature, relative humidity, light
intensity, pressure etc.)
* signals (voltage, current, status (on/off, open/closed) and
events)
* transducers (power, AC voltage etc)
Typically, data loggers are small, battery-powered devices that
are equiped with a microprocessor. Data loggers utilize internal
microprocessor software and PC control software, to initiate
the logger and view the collected data.
Data can be downloaded by reading the memory card or using the
serial RS232 port, a modem
or GSM modem.
